“It felt like the elegant Pinot Noir grape was having a fierce argument with the more robust Petite Sirah, until somehow, by a miracle of Burgundian Diplomacy, the wine found its balance. What began sharp and unruly softened into a wonderfully layered wine, one that took me by the scruff of the neck and then laid me gently, even lovingly, down to sleep. It’s the kind of beautiful madness I needed to match my own, before ending the night standing on a table, scream-singing Nasty by Tinashe.”
