Piekenierskloof Tannat

This wine has a dark ruby red colour.

The nose is almost very similar to Cabernet with its dark fruit, plum and cassis notes.

There is also a reasonable amount of toastiness on the nose coming from the barrels.

The palate is surprisingly soft and well-balanced, not typical of this variety that often has very harsh and big tannins.
