Klipkers Rose
Klipkers, also known as the 'Candlewood tree', are endemic to Paarl Mountain and are mainly seen between granite rock crevices.
Besides being used as firewood, Klipkers is also used for certain farming activities.
In the past, the bark was used for tanning and wagon brake blocks.
The fruits of the Klipkersboom are also eagerly eaten by the dassies on the Paarlberg.
